Spiritual Growth & Music Programs |
|
We Got Voice! could be the motto of the blooming choir of the Key West Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Key West. Under the direction of Audrey Waldman, a half-time resident and full time UU, the group presents a wide variety of music with guest musicians and surprises that delight, entertain, and educate. Several special musical theme services are also led by the choir each year.
Walking the Spiritual Road is what the adult Spiritual Growth Programs (RE) are all about, with both formal and informal presentations from members, visitors and guests. Each Sunday from 3pm to 6pm both Fellowship members and community guests are invited to lectures, video presentations and movies along with guided meditations and spiritual exercises. As with most programs, a free will donation supports the cost of program materials.
Retreats, circles and special programs. At both the summer and winter solstice, special services and circles are conducted for the Fellowship by neoPagan and spiritual traditions found both within and outside our membership. Monthly full moon circles are available for members to attend and our Fellowship is often host to a wide range of guests and their presentations. In the past year programs about understanding the Muslim Faith, the experience of Afro American spiritual faith, Jewish traditions, Buddhism, and even finding spiritual meaning inside the Matrix movies were among the lively and provoking presentations. Diversity of thought, faith, and belief are all supported by the UU pathway to self discovery by which one also discovers their own connection to the great mystery. |
