Unitarian Universalist Association of Congregations

Our congregation reaches out to and welcomes in the larger community in a number of ways:

  • Mindful Movement meets twice weekly in our space.
  • The non-profit Center for Transformative Counseling uses our facilities for individual counseling and group sessions.
  • The local chapter of the ACLU holds its monthly film and discussion series in our facilities.
  • Last Stand local advocacy group has its board meetings in our building.
  • A twelve-step recovery program is one of our guests.
  • We are a receiving center for Dan's Cans aluminum recycling.
  • We sponsor the annual UU Outreach Open, a miniature golf tournament to benefit non-profits in our community. In 2008, we supported The Cancer Foundation of the Florida Keys, Florida Keys Outreach Coalition for the Homeless, Literacy Volunteers, and Bahama Village Music Program.
  • Waterfront Theatre uses our space for their rehearsals.
  • Our Change for Change program, collecting the loose change in our pockets each Sunday, benefits 12 different non-profits throughout the year.
